Note: Non-tenured junior faculty are not eligible to participate - only trainees. Individuals with a faculty appointment at the instructor level or higher are not eligible.
Due to the anticipated large volume of abstract submissions, there is a LIMIT OF ONE (1) ABSTRACT submission per person.
Registration is FREE and abstracts will be considered in the order in which they are received.
The target of research can be anything broadly related to cardiovascular function and disease, including heart disease, vascular disease, and stroke. The range of disciplines appropriate for this event is wide-ranging and can include basic, translational, clinical, epidemiological, population, and bioengineering research.
Abstract submission is in electronic format only. As an aid in preparing your abstract, we have developed Abstract Submission Guidelines which may prove helpful.
FORMAT FOR ABSTRACTS:
Abstracts submitted by the published deadline are reviewed by the Fellows Research Day Task Force. You will be informed via email as to whether your abstract has been approved for presentation and the format in which you will present – either oral or poster.

The University Club is an eight-story building of the University of Pittsburgh designed by Henry Hornbostel and completed in 1923 that is a contributing property to the Schenley Farms National Historic District on the school's campus in Pittsburgh. It serves as a faculty club with publicly accessible dining, banquet, and conference facilities, while the upper four floors serve as housing for the families of out-of-town hospital patients.

The reservation is good for (1) night with check-in and late arrival guarantee on Thursday, January 17 after 4:00 p.m. and check-out on January 18 by noon. You will receive the discounted rate of $119.00/per night + tax. A credit card is required at the time the reservation is made.
Parking is available on-site at the hotel and is $20.00 per night. You will have in/out privileges. There is also a hotel shuttle you may arrange for with the front desk.

DAY OF EVENT REGISTRATION:
On Fellows Research Day, a registration desk will be located in the lobby of the University Club and will be staffed beginning at 7:00am. Attendees must register, collect your name badge and program book and receive your poster board assignment (if applicable). For attendees from out of town who will be doing oral or poster presentations, we shall avoid scheduling your presentations early in the day in case there are traffic or weather issues delaying your arrival.
