Madison Area Stroke & Caregiver Support Group

Agenda

Groups include stroke survivors, caregivers/family/friends and UWRH inpatients newly recovering from stroke. Facilitators include Recreation Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology and Rehab Psychology. Each group generally includes a) check ins and introduction b)topic or discussion (group) generate session topics throughout the year) c)general support, socialization and discussion. Topics have included; Adaptive Travel, Role reversal after stroke, Adaptive Tal Chi, various guest speakers from community services, guest speakers from therapy services (PT, OT, SLP).
